Lifeguarding Instructor

General classes in water safety courses and lifeguarding courses can make the difference in saving the life of another human and yourself. One in need of CPR must receive treatment within 3 minutes in order to prevent the potential for severe damage. As an instructor your skills will be conveyed to many students. This program is not just an online instructor certification to satisfy ones continuing education credits, but students can most definitely save a life and have the confidence to assist when trouble occurs. Instructors learn in a classroom environment and have access to back office support to print a completion card, digital certificates and a printed certificate for new instructors or for those being re-certified. Your instructor trainer will teach information pertaining to aquatic attraction lifeguarding, American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor material, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, methods of professional rescuers and instructor level skill competency techniques for licensed training provider(s). Instructor Courses and the lifeguarding manual will be referenced by your instructor trainers while you develop skills. Students will actively participate in all skill demonstrations and instructor candidates teach skills and role play as well.

Instructor candidates can sign up for numerous instructor course offerings at our training center(s), training support center or at a local site near you. This instructor level class is equal to the Basic Life Support instructor and is the highest level instructor course for this offering and those that teach these skills are part of an elite group.

The Certification allows for convenient digital download of your online portion and online introduction and complete certifications, written exam results and instructors notes. The Campaign Pay it Forward offers numerous courses that can be found by date and on the Find a Class webpage. A class transfer is available by original class date and revised transfer date. During a postponed class a lifeguard instructor candidate may successfully complete their training and receive their instructor certifications within 60 days of the original date. In addition to an Instructor Certification in Lifeguarding, instructors will have training guides and instructor materials online. Additional instructor course material is available for child and infant responses online and outside the classroom. This will be explained further and in detail during your training course and education. Additional American Heart Association guidelines are available online, in print and on digital formats. American Red Cross account can be set up for back office availability to material and resources. No unauthorized use of Red Cross material or Red Cross online instructor access is permitted. Only express use of Red Cross linked to entity is permitted.
